To highlight and encourage goal-oriented law students, during the fall law firm Delphi will award a scholarship in commercial law. The scholarship also aims to offer students practical guidance and mentorship as they continue on their path within law.
Applications for the Delphi Scholarship are now invited. The scholarship, which comprises a cash award of SEK 25,000 and a summer placement as a clerk at one of Delphi’s five offices in 2018, was established three years ago.
“The scholarship is a good way to highlight goal-oriented students and provides us with an opportunity to make contacts in the student world. That is important to us. Anyone who is in their fifth to seventh semester of studying law, has their sights set on commercial law and is interested in supplementing their study funds should definitely apply,” says David Aversten, Managing Partner at Delphi.
Within the framework of the Delphi Scholarship a further two individuals will be offered a mentor for one year who will provide practical guidance and support for their law studies. The mentor will be an advokat-level lawyer or partner at Delphi.
The central element of the application process for the Delphi Scholarship is a case solution within general contract law. Applications must be received by October 16. A jury consisting of partners from each Delphi office will assess the contributions and will then announce five finalists, who will have the opportunity to present their case verbally to the jury. The scholarship will then be awarded at a final dinner at Delphi’s offices in Stockholm on November 16.

Den bärande delen i ansökningsprocessen till Delphi Scholarship är en caselösning inom allmän avtalsrätt. Den 16 oktober är den sista ansökningsdagen. En jurygrupp bestående av delägare från respektive Delphikontor kommer att bedöma bidragen och utser därefter fem finalister som kommer att få presentera sitt case muntligt inför juryn. Stipendiaten kommer sedan att utses under en finalmiddag på Delphis kontor i Stockholm den 16 november.
